ASSOCIATED YACHT SERVICES

Associated Yacht Services, a division of Associated Steamship Agents, S.A., was founded on the Isthmus of Panama in 1889, when Captain William Andrews opened a Steamship Agency in Colon City. Today the Steamship Agency can arrange your transit from our office in Balbao on the Pacific Side right through to the Atlantic.
Our team of experts work 24/7 responding to the needs of our clients from around the world visiting the Panama Canal and ports in the Republic of Panama. In addition to representing many yacht and ship owners, we are also the agents for Lloyd’s of London at the Canal and undertake hull and machinery surveys on behalf of underwriters from Europe, the United States and the Far East. The Panama Canal is an amazing engineering feat running for 45 nautical miles. Three sets of locks operate as hydraulic elevators which raise vessels at one end of the Canal 85 feet above seawater to the level of Gatun Lake, then down at the other end. We look forward to your visit.
