Association of Yacht Support ServicesServing Superyachts Worldwide

16th July 2010

I am writing on behalf of the owner and crew of the 46m sailing yacht Pink Gin to express our gratitude for all the help and advice provided by yourself and the Del Shipping team during our time in South Africa during the football World Cup.

The owner and guests had a wonderful time and this was in no small part due to the organisation and hard work of your team. As is often the case, felibility is key when it comes to dealing with high calibre guests and despite some difficult and ever changing schedules, we always had vehicles and the necessary personnel on hand to ensure everything went smoothly and more importantly was undertaken safely.

We look forward to working with you again on our return in the fuure and would highly recommend your services to other visiting Superyachts. Good luck in the the future.

AYSS is a global Trade Association of support and service providers to the Superyacht Industry

Throughout the last year our 80 plus members have performed as a notable team offering local knowledge and expertise to visiting yachts. AYSS members are well aware of the demands from each section of a yacht and endeavour to satisfy the demands of Captain, Owner and Crew.

AYSS is a growing Trade Association and to that end is pushing forward some new innovative procedures to ensure that each yacht should receive a similar level of service throughout the world. Our members offer a highly professional service to visiting yachts and are passionate about their countries and what they have to offer.  Our Agent Profiles and cruising information is growing on our web site with more detail constantly being added or updated.

The Ethics and Grievances Working Group assist in helping our members to provide a professional service and operate a confidential feed back button for yachts and members.
The AYSS Code of Conduct is constantly reviewed and provides a back bone for all members of the Association to adhere.

AYSS representatives are present at all the major yacht shows, including Monaco Yacht Show, Antigua Charter Boat Show, Genoa, Fort Lauderdale, Singapore and Abu Dhabi.

2012 sees AYSS organising and hosting the inaugural “MonacoNet”, a worldwide Superyacht Support networking event on the 18th September 2012, to be held at The Marriott Hotel, Monaco.  This is also the date for the 21st AYSS AGM.

In February AYSS co-sponsored the Wobbly Race in Antigua, with a BYOB, (build your own boat) race, to rescue a mermaid, with all funds raised going towards supporting ABSAR (Antigua and Barbuda Search and Rescue).

Superyacht Captains and crew can access agent profiles and monthly newsletters on the web site www.ayss.com to help with route planning.  Handbook Supplements are available throughout the year at the major yacht shows to augment the directory. Copies of the 2012 handbook can be obtained from members or please email info@ayss.org
